so I had to register my mini-van, which I bought in California about a year ago. So they have two choices for "travel permits."
you can pay $25 for a three-day all access pass, or for free they will give you a two-day pass. Sounds great, right? Well, the free pass only enables you to go to either Smog testing, or the scale for Weight. Well, what about driving to the county to get registered? Hello. Love the State!
On a positive note, when I went there (the county) the other day, NO WAITING and fast, friendly service. In fact, at Smog Test they were happy to see me--since they were all standing around. anyway, this is one of the "perks" of working night shift.
So the first guy at Smog--also told me: that if I get my registration renewed before the expiration date next year, I won't have to re-Smog test. Cuz that's the year my van's year will be due.
