I recently joined the family to the YMCA. We have access to all the Y's in the area. The best one is in Shoreline, where it was built by some huge endowment from a local wealthy man. It's a state-of-the-art facility, with a nice parking garage and beautiful surroundings (pictures coming soon). While sticking to their low-budget values, they built a really nice place.
All I usually do there is ride the stationary bike. Sometimes I'll also do a back or abdominal exercise--so as to lift the kids without killing myself. They have lots of fitness activities there. It's not as cool as my previous gym, LA Fitness, but it'll do for now-with the family.
I like going there before work--it's a healthy distraction.
The Y has become politically correct in a lot of ways; but then, what's new in this town?
